Team Awards

There are 4 awards given to Goannas Players at the end of season ceremony. These are:

  • Best Offensive Player
  • Best Defensive Player
  • Most Improved Player
  • The Goanna Award

The first three awards are selected by the Coach according to distinct criteria. The Goanna Award is voted on by all team members.


The Goanna Award Criteria

An individual who embodies the characteristics that epitomise the spirit of being a Goanna. These characteristics include;

  • Someone who is supportive and approachable by all team members,
  • A player who shows commitment through attendance at all team events when possible,
  • Someone who ‘buys-in’ to the future of the Goannas team through supportive action,
  • Has a fun nature,
  • Someone who shows initiative to embrace and promote the Goannas.
