I was introduced to ice hockey on the Gold Coast in June of 2008.  I saw a fast, challenging team sport that inspired me to give it a go.  After watching one of my friends play in the local league I thought to myself, “if she can do it, why can’t I?”  I took on the challenge and here I am playing for the Goannas family and loving every minute of it. 

In order to keep my fitness up for the upcoming season, I play for one of the teams in the local C grade competition at the Gold Coast rink in Bundall on Sunday nights.  I try to get on the ice as much as I can so I also go to trainings and drop-ins on Mondays and Thursdays.

This is my first season playing for the Goannas, and I aim to improve my game play knowledge and experience on the ice.  I have worked extremely hard the last couple of years to get to where I am today, and to have a goal and/or an assist to attest to that would be great.  I am so excited and determined to do my best on and off the ice in order to contribute to the success of the Goannas family this AWIHL season!
